What is Feng Shui?
Feng Shui (pronounced "fung schway") is the ancient Chinese art of placement and design. Translated as "wind and water", Feng Shui originated in Asia over 5,000 years ago with the objective of creating harmonic, supportive and balanced environments based upon the way energy (chi) flows through a particular space. The practice of Feng Shui allows us to work with this vital force to maximize its many benefits.
Feng Shui can be described as a mystical blend of art and science, since it has its roots in ecology, aesthetics, philosophy, astrology and interior design. As an intuitive art, Feng Shui transcends the rigid realms of rational thought and logic, yet is firmly grounded in common sense, practicality and the wisdom gleaned from thousands of years of observation of Natural Law.
How does Feng Shui work?
Feng Shui practitioners can be thought of as doctors of environmental dis-ease, diagnosing chi circulation and prescribing remedies to resolve imbalances and to enhance positive qualities, According to Feng Shui, most imperfect conditions can be improved through the application of cures. Each cure has its own particular range of applications and works with the co-creative intention of the practitioner and the client.
What is involved in a Feng Shui consultation?
Consultations for residential and commercial sites are available by appointment in a one-or two session format, depending on the complexity of the site and which services are requested and deemed appropriate.
On-site consultations typically include: blueprint/floorplan review, personal interview, complete site inspection and walk-thru, consideration of internal, external and historical influences, analysis of findings, prioritization of suggested remedies and instruction in installation techniques.
Other services, such as distance consultations, space clearing, lectures, workshops and presentations, are available by special arrangement.

Practitioner's Summary
Mary
Boudreau has studied Oriental philosophy and practiced transcendental
meditation since 1977. A graduate of Penn State University with a degree
in English/Secondary Education, she became a teacher of the TM technique
in Arosa, Switzerland in 1980. She has studied the principles of Feng
Shui since 1988.
That same year, Mary was selected for inclusion in "Who's Who of American Women" as founder and president of Portrait Representatives, Inc., a fine arts brokerage firm headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.
In 1996, Mary completed an intensive certificate program for Feng Shui practitioners in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Her training is in Black Sect Feng Shui as taught by James Allyn Moser and Sean Xenja, both disciples of Master Lin Yun. She has also graduated from a New York State certified Feng Shui degree program with the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design.
Mary has spoken about Feng Shui on radio, at Barnes and Noble Bookstores, and in other public contexts. She also conducts workshops on various aspects of the art. Since 1996, she has offered residential and commercial consultations by appointment.
In 1997, Mary became a Practitioner Member of the Feng Shui Guild, an international organization based in Colorado. She also has over twenty years experience in fine arts management, international sales and marketing, business administration and adult education.
With her background in both communications and spiritual practices, she effectively bridges the gap between mysterious Eastern practices and practical Western thinking.
